Welcome to the CulturePolis Cultural
Organisations Collaboration Network -Platform!
Our objective is to first build a “cultural gate” which
will be permanently enriched with new cultural groups and will host events,
activities, proposals, information and related material introduced by the
authorised representatives of its users and second to contribute to the
networking among organisations. These are anyway the international trends that
are shaped by the continuously expanded movement of social networking on the
Internet.
The platform offers the possibility
on CulturePolis website to host webpages of local cultural organisations in
every region, our corporate members and other cultural organisations and
associations, NGOs, and other civil society organisations as well as
universities, foundations, municipalities and relevant enterprises public or
private in Greece and abroad.
Users – cultural organizations can
easily and at no cost use the system by themselves to introduce the detailed
profile of their organisations (select Organisations), describe
their events/activities and projects (select Events) and introduce relevant
reference material (select
Reference material) for information, awareness and
promotion (videos, photos, music, texts). At a second stage organisations could
use the platform for collaborative project development and networking.
The platform will be presented in a
special workshop in Corfu on 26/11/2008 (see announcement below). This project was implemented
through funding of Greek Ministry of Employment - Project Plans for NGOs - B'
cycle in cooperation of the Kerkyra Prefecture (Activities are co-funded by 80%
by the European Social Fund).
The
entire content and the services of culturepolis.org and its imbedded
collaboration platform is offered to visitors for strictly personal use. It is
forbidden any use or retransmission by any possible means, with or without any
processing, without written permission of the owner.
